As I was clipping the yarn bits I had used to secure the skeins during the dye and noted that the dye did not penetrate as well. This created a neat "design" feature which I think I will used next time I dye. It reminds me a bit of tie dye. Something to keep in mind.

Post Dye
Well, Heidi wasn't kidding when she told me it had taken her FOREVER to turn her long skeins (self patterning yarn - see dye day) into manageable ones. It took a while to get the job done but I am very pleased with the results; it was well worth it ;c)

As I was clipping the yarn bits I had used to secure the skeins during the dye and noted that the dye did not penetrate as well. This created a neat "design" feature which I think I will used next time I dye. It reminds me a bit of tie dye. Something to keep in mind.
